Of utmost importance was accessibility throughout the site. This meant building a site that had excellent visual design to ensure easy product navigation, a site that would scale for those with visual difficulties, and a site that would work on all browsers from mainstream to text-only.

Designed in CSS, the site utilises what we would like to think as a unique way to address scalability. Not only does text scale perfectly when the font size is increased through the browser, but also the images proportionally.

Other features on the site to improve sales conversions include:

• 'Personal Recommendations' - when a user creates an account and places an order, the site automatically generates recommended products based on the customers previous purchases and what they've looked at on the site.
• Product 'Questions and Answers'. Visitors can submit questions for the website admin to respond to and show to other users.
• Product Reviews
• Product up selling to suggest related products
• Print-off order form. Customers get the option to print off an order to post/fax if they don't wish to use the built in shopping cart system
• Recently viewed items to allow the customer to keep track of what they've viewed on the site
• Featured products

The site is proving to be a great success and is an accessible site we're extremely proud of!
