Position // PHP Guru

This is very much a hands-on role. You will be immediately exposed to frontline PHP / mySQL and AJAX development. You will have the opportunity to actively input your ideas both on existing projects and on all future bespoke developments.

Within the role, your positional accountabilities will include:

  • Implementation of customer requirements
  • Support our current development team and lead developer
  • Team working is especially important as team is small
  • The ability to work autonomously and to also work within existing frameworks
  • Meeting development milestones
  • Growing your skill sets as the business grows around you

Experience of and understanding of the issues involved in content management system development and integration is beneficial, whilst you will require the following key skill sets:

  • PHP, JavaScript, HTML, CSS, XHTML. Ideally you will have an understanding of OO programming
  • Web Services, SOAP, XML-RPC
  • Content management, Apache, PEAR
  • MySQL and ideally potentially MSSQL
  • AJAX frameworks like mootools, prototype

You will be working in a vibrant office environment where developing first class solutions in an enjoyable atmosphere are far more important than a suit and tie. Human skills are very important and you should enjoy working in a team environment, cope well with pressure, and have a genuine enthusiasm for IT, together with a "can do" attitude. You will need to manage and prioritise a varied workload and enjoy a customer-focused development role in a constantly changing environment.

Position // Graphic Design Wizard

This is very much a hands-on role. A strong graphic-design background is key.

You will be immediately exposed to clients and existing projects. You will have the opportunity to actively input your ideas both on existing projects and on all future bespoke developments.

Within the role, your positional accountabilities will include:

  • Implementation of customer requirements - this would include designing full website mockups in Photoshop plus working on smaller scale design projects
  • Team working is especially important as our team is relatively small
  • The ability to work autonomously and to also work within existing frameworks
  • Meeting design milestones
  • Experience of and understanding of the issues involved in all aspects of the design process. You will be involved in each step of the design process from brief to implementation

The following key skill sets would also be beneficial, but not crucial:

  • Broad knowledge of HTML, CSS, XHTML and also some JavaScript although not essential

In summary:

  • A great eye for design is essential
  • Accurate, pixel perfect design attitude
  • Essential software knowledge: Adobe Photoshop and to a lesser degree Adobe Illustrator
