Beer, pizza, music it can only mean one thing! The blubolt Summer party. The party started at 5.30pm last Friday at the Bath Pizza Co, located next to the Green Park Brasserie. We had a great turn out with around 60 people attending the summer bash, including some of our technology partners Klarna, Brightpearl, dotmailer and secure trading.
The summer party was to raise money and awareness for Bowel Cancer UK. We also held a raffle at the party, thank you to all our partners who donated prizes. Together with the tickets and the raffle we raised a total of £800.
This was the fourth event to raise funds and grow awareness for the incredible charity Bowel Cancer UK. Someone is diagnosed with bowel cancer every 15 minutes, but it is very treatable if it is caught early. This is why blubolt are on a mission in helping to stop bowel cancer. Our target is to raise £10,000 by the end of the year. The events so far have included donating blood, baking cakes, 10K run and the summer party. The £800 raised from the summer party has now bought us up to a total of £5,000.
We were lucky enough to be joined by Deborah Alsina the CEO of Bowel Cancer UK. She took the time to say a few words about the aim of the charity and its purpose. Deborah then went on to mention our wonderful Amy Mattingly and the huge part she played in raising awareness for the charity.
It was a great evening and we would like to say thank you to everyone that came to the party.
We also teamed up with Independent Bath Spirit, who raffled one of the rarest releases from the world famous Lagavulin distillery. The raffle had a fantastic take-up and raised £760.
blubolt have some super events coming up in our continued support for Bowel Cancer UK. Next will be ‘Gunge a blubolt-er in slime’, which blubolt-er will you pick? Head to our JustGiving Page, all donations are very much appreciated.
