Firstly, Mistral needed a new website that could successfully translate their friendly, personalised in-store shopping experience to an online space. Along with a fresh design, the brand required greater internal control and flexibility in managing their site so it could adapt and grow quickly with them. As a result, they turned to blubolt and Shopify Plus.
In migrating from Visualsoft to Shopify Plus, Mistral now has a stable and ever-adapting platform for growth. Shopify Plus has also provided the brand with a high level of in-house control they sought. For example, the team can now tailor page layouts, fonts and colours to reflect seasonal collections and activities themselves. When it comes to their new Shopify Plus site, the Mistral crew are in control!
The brand is known for its stylish clothing and approachable attitude so the blubolt team designed a new custom theme to match. “We also streamlined the user journey across the site and created opportunities for cross and upselling,” says Head of Design Matt Richards. As a result, Mistral has a beautiful site set-up to deliver higher conversions and a stress-free customer experience.
“Mistral had emphasised the need to translate the personalised in-store experience online, both visually and functionally, says developer Tom Bellew. “To do this, we used a mix of standard Shopify Plus features, bespoke blubolt creations, and technology from carefully selected partners.”
For example, blubolt built the quick add function on product listing pages, used metafields for colour variants, and custom functionality for product availability. Then CloudSearch provided seamless search and product filtering and Smart Wishlist delivered stylish and on-brand wishlist functionality. Leading third-party logistics operator Torque came aboard to provide streamlined fulfilment while integrations with Okendo and Klaviyo enabled easy product reviews and tailored email marketing respectively. Mistral also continued its partnership with Nosto to personalise the shopping experience with product and content recommendations.
The new Mistral website has risen to the challenge! They now have a flexible and stable platform, an abundance of in-house control and an engaging new design that beautifully reflects the brand ethos. As a result, the Mistral team is well-positioned to win a legion of new fans while retaining their loyal customer base.
